The Governor's Utah Economic Summit will be held Monday, March 29, 2010. We
are excited to add the Student Business Summit as part of this event. The
Student Business Summit will feature keynote speakers, business leaders,
entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and experts in their field. Breakout
sessions will cover raising capital, business success, social marketing, and
entrepreneurial innovation. Students from across the state are invited to
learn from some of the state's best business minds.

Your plan must be received by March 19 to qualify
and be reviewed. Winners will be notified five days prior to the Summit if
they will be presenting.
General Requirements:
- You are required to register in order to submit
- Submit your business pitch keeping the pitch within two pages. Incorporate
a concise format using real research and how your business will grow.
- The pitch should be for a viable and legitimate business idea or concept.
- The business concept should be something that you are personally committed
to and will pursue with the prize money.
- The contest is open to any business concept in any industry and addressing
any market as long as it is legal and does not involve the promotion or use
of tobacco, drugs, pornography or illegal activities.
Entries will be judged on:
- The perceived business viability of the concept.
- The emotional appeal of the pitch.
- The level of confidence the entrant has in the concept.
- The clarity of the pitch to address a specific market need.
- How the prize money will specifically be used to advance the concept.
